I enjoy reading your reviews after each episode! Are you the male voice of the profiling criminal minds podcast?? I listened to one of them after watching Zugzwang, such a frustrating episode in so many ways!

As for Meta-Reid... I dunno man. Seems intentional by the show to me.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00464277896380822284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114808246459538090.post-61521032558156982402020-01-22T01:55:53.099-05:002020-01-22T01:55:53.099-05:00You're not too late at all, Al! I guess that Derek didn't blame the coach - besides the denial of being molested- because he knew that there was no way they'd believe the local hero was implicated. It's a great episode overall.Al.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16066358683894073517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114808246459538090.post-90171210101423802672012-12-13T10:17:04.145-05:002012-12-13T10:17:04.145-05:00I love your posts! Just started watching the re-runs whilst I'm off work and your reviews add much more depth to the program and mean I can watch them without wanting to shout my head off at the brilliant profilers :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114808246459538090.post-29696279842794222022010-08-15T18:25:26.708-04:002010-08-15T18:25:26.708-04:00Fair enough, it's not like my posts are pictur...Fair enough, it's not like my posts are picture perfect all the time. It's just something I pegged right away, because my mother's best friend is a woman with a black father and white mother from Chicago.

I enjoy your reviews, even though I seem to like Criminal Minds a whole lot more than you do.Perpetual Beginnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09625596315528064536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114808246459538090.post-82833100106497948402010-08-15T17:28:30.012-04:002010-08-15T17:28:30.012-04:00Obviously you're right - there's no reason...Obviously you're right - there's no reason in the show to suspect adoption. I was attempting to make a humourous aside about the fact that, when you've got a white mother and a mixed-race child, shows generally go out of their way to show a picture of the absent father, so as to establish why the child looks the way they do. Because the episode lacked that shot, I thought it would be funny to assume that we're looking at adoption, since there's no hard evidence offered to the contrary.

I now realize that my point was so incredibly obtuse that there's no way it could have been clear. That'll teach me to write a review on Christmas Eve while watching Attack of the Clones!Vardulonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17821844774999740966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9114808246459538090.post-10712354519978244322010-08-15T01:30:42.833-04:002010-08-15T01:30:42.833-04:00I realize I'm coming late to this comment, but...I realize I'm coming late to this comment, but is there any reason within the show why you're saying that Derek and his sisters were adopted at all? I didn't see anything to indicate that the woman shown wasn't intended to be his birth mother.Perpetual Beginnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09625596315528064536noreply@blogger.com
